Please join the Alaska Center for Energy and Power next Tuesday, August 31st for our next Community
Lecture - Biomass: A Sustainable Option for Alaska?
Interior experts will provide an overview of biomass technology for community energy production
including a discussion of projects in the Interior and throughout the state. In addition, researchers from
the Cold Climate Housing Research Center will discuss ways to improve residential wood burning.
Speakers include:
* Gwen Holdmann (UAF Alaska Center for Energy & Power): Overview of Biomass Technology and
Statewide Projects
* Jesse Warwick and Michael Gomes (Chena Power): Overview of the Chena Power Clean Biomass
Power Plant

Calo Flamenco begins their week-long odyssey through Fairbanks at the Blue Loon.

HELL'S BELLES
Hell's Belles returns. They're back and this time with a special guest singer:
One of Austin Texas' best female vocalists - Patrice Pike -will join HB for this special show. She was a finalist on the reality show "Rockstar Supernova" and has won numerous awards. Patrice was the youngest musician inducted into the Austin/Texas Music Hall of Fame. Along with that honor she was also named Musician of the Year, Best Female Vocalist, and Song of the year in Austin for her song Beautiful Thing, which she debuted on CBS in the Summer of 2006.
